To Whom it may concern: In praise of Dr. Barngrover and the Southeast Regional Pain Clinic.
I have been seeing Dr. Barngrover and the staff at the Southeast Regional Pain Clinic for about a decade.  They are treating me for idiopathic sensori-motor peripheral neuropathy in my lower extremities.  In a real sense, Dr. Barngrover and the clinic can be credited with saving my life.
I was diagnosed in 1990 with this disorder.  For five years I searched for a doctor and/or a clinic who would give me mediation adequate to control the intractable, excruciating, and multi-dimensional pains which accompany it.  I could see no point to my life as it was mostly pain.
I searched all over central and north Florida, I combed Atlanta.  Finally, my husband, Dr. James R. Whitt, called a nurse friend in the medical community in Columbus.  She suggested that we get to Columbus as soon as possible and get a reference to the SERPC.  After my first I knew I once more had many reasons to live.

I had a severe accident in 1991.  through the years of neglect my lower back has been deteriorating.  I had surgery in 2001 to help ease the L5-S1 area of my sciatic nerve which failed.  With the help of the Nerve Root Injections from Dr. Barngrover I am experiencing relief and I'm able to travel more.  With the Nerve Root Injections I've also been able to cut back on my medications.

I have suffered with chronic back pain and gout for many years.  Dr. Barngrover is definitely worth his weight in gold when it comes to helping someone get relief from chronic pain.  My treatment has consisted of  Caudel Epidurals and Injections in the knees and feet and it is a wonderful feeling of relief after receiving one of these treatments.  I appreciate all of the staff and doctors for your care thru the years.

A life filled with chronic pain is a lonely existence, as I have fought this battle for over fifteen years.  I began having back problems in the early 90‘s and they still remain today.  I underwent 4 major spine operations in the 90’s none of which I would say were successful.  In 2002 I was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in another spine fusion. 

When I made that first appointment with Dr. Barngrover, I realize now that it was the first step in living a better life.  He found a regiment of medications that work together in my body to keep me functioning.   Dr. Barngrover and his assistant, Peggy, treat me with respect and compassion and they continually seek new ways to alleviate my pain even more.   All the staff members at the Southeast Regional Pain Center always have a smile for me and a kind word when I come in.

 I am so thankful to know they are in my corner….helping me to live my life better.

I started coming to the Southeast Regional Pain Center about three years ago, I could barely walk and I was in so much pain I could not stand it.  I thought my life was over.  I  did not want to be around anyone, I just wanted to stay in my room and be left alone.  I had about given up on everybody and everything I use to do.

 I want to thank the Southeast Regional Pain Center and especially Peggy Holder for seeing me each month and for giving me my life back to me.
